Aftercare: Mesogel & Mesotherapy
Applicable Brands
This page provides general aftercare guidance for Mesogel and mesotherapy treatments and is applicable to many well-known mesogel brands such as Neauvia, Jalupro, Profhilo, Revofil, Eloquence and other similar bioactive gels. If your treatment used one of these products (or a similar formulation), these aftercare instructions are appropriate. For brand-specific advice, mention the product during your consultation.
Proper aftercare begins with understanding the treatment itself and knowing what to expect before and after mesotherapy.
First 24 Hours
- Avoid washing the treated area for 6–8 hours unless instructed otherwise.
- Do not touch, press, or massage the treated area.
- Avoid heavy exercise, sauna, steam rooms, and heat exposure.
- Refrain from applying heavy makeup to the treated area for 24 hours.
Within 48 Hours
- You may use a cold compress if needed (avoid prolonged pressure).
- Avoid alcohol and smoking during the initial 48 hours.
- Avoid other cosmetic procedures such as microneedling, laser, HIFU, or plasma during this period.
First Week
- Avoid direct sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
- Do not use strong exfoliants, retinoids, or harsh topical agents.
- Drink plenty of water to support healing and treatment effects.
Normal Reactions & When to Contact
Mild swelling, redness, or small bruises are common and usually resolve within 24–72 hours. With some mesogel products you may feel small bumps or firmness that generally subside within a few days.
